We are creating a Fragrance-Free Space which is free of smoke, fragrance and chemicals. This is in consideration of all with fragrance sensitivity and experience mild to serious irritation or allergic reactions to those items. Exposure to fragranced products can make it difficult to impossible for some attendees to participate or stay in the space. People with fragrance sensitivity often experience symptoms such as breathing difficulties (wheezing, a tight feeling in the chest, or worsening of asthma symptoms); headaches; nausea; hives and other skin irritations; and limitations in memory and concentration.

We have asked the hosts of the building to clean the space at least 2 days prior to allow time for scents to fade. Our request for retreat staff and attendees:
-
Personal care products such as cologne, perfume, lotions, fragranced hair products and/or similar products are not to be worn.
-
Use of air fresheners, essential oils, incense, and candles will not used in the space.
